Former France and PSG midfielder David Ginola has shared his views on striker Neymar’s contract extension with the Parisians.
“The team needs stability to win trophies. But you can’t extend Neymar’s contract without concluding a new agreement with Kylian Mbappe. Neymar is now 29 years old, his best goals are behind him. Mbappe is young, talented. The guy has enormous potential, and PSG are only using 60% of his potential. But they both need to understand that they can’t win anything until they start working for the good of the team,” the former player is quoted by France Info as saying.
Neymar has extended his contract with PSG until 2025. The Brazilian moved to PSG from Barcelona in 2017 for a record €222m, which was spelled out in his contract as a kickback.
