Without Cristiano Ronaldo: UEFA presented the symbolic team of the Champions League 2020/21

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) published a list of the best players in the Champions League. It included 23 players.

According to the organization’s official website, seven of them are from Chelsea, who won the tournament, and Cristiano Ronaldo, the Juventus star, is missing. The full list of the top scorers is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Edouard Mendy (Chelsea), Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid), Ederson (Manchester City)

Fullbacks: Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea), Ruben Dias (Manchester City), Marchinho (PSG), Antonio Rüdiger (Chelsea), Ben Chillwell (Chelsea), David Alaba (Bayern Munich).

Midfielders: Jorgeinho (Chelsea), Mason Mount (Chelsea), Ngolo Kante (Chelsea), Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City), Ilkay Gundogan (Manchester City), Luka Modric (Real Madrid), Sergio Oliveira (Porto), Phil Fodin (Manchester City).

Attackers: Erling Holand (‘Borussia Dortmund’), Kylian Mbappe (‘PSG’), Robert Lewandowski (‘Bayern’), Karim Benzema (‘Real Madrid’), Neymar (‘PSG’), Lionel Messi (‘Barcelona’).

Recall that Chelsea claimed a narrow victory against Manchester City in the Champions League final thanks to Kaj Haverts who scored the only goal of the match. Ukraine’s Oleksandr Zinchenko was named Man City’s best player in the losing game.
